Aetna Therapist in California
If you have Aetna, you may be able to begin trauma-informed therapy or EMDR with only a copay. I’m an in-network Aetna provider seeing clients by secure video anywhere in California.
Using Your Aetna Plan for Therapy
Most Aetna plans include outpatient behavioral health benefits, which cover individual psychotherapy. Because I’m in-network, you’re typically responsible only for your plan’s copay or coinsurance once any deductible is met, not the full session fee. Aetna generally covers telehealth therapy on the same terms as in-person care.
Confirm Your Aetna Benefits
Call the member services number on the back of your Aetna card, often a dedicated behavioral health line, and ask the following questions.
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
Is telehealth therapy covered the same as in-person?
What is my copay or coinsurance per session?
Do I have a remaining deductible this year?
Is Andrea Cabello, LMFT in-network on my Aetna plan?
